Mint

A sweet treat and a message from the marvelous mint...
Everyone always seems to have mint in the garden and nowadays I see it in the produce section...
I've taken fresh mint and flowers and used my mortar and pestle to grind the flavor in the sugar...
I will put it in the jar and it's ready to go...
Although you can also layer the sugar and leaves in a jar and shake it daily for a few weeks to let the sugar infuse....
After 2 weeks pull out the leaves and enjoy...
It's a lovely treat for tea, drink rims, sprinkled on cupcake frostings and more...
A spoonful in water is refreshing and good for a tummy ache...
