Yes, there is Hope in America...
I had occasion to go to my bank this morning and there was a line to the tellers. There was a couple of young ladies ahead of me involved in a conversation which I couldn't hear. One was apparently giving counsel to the other.
After their conversation, the one who was giving counsel left the line and joined her friends in the seating area. The one left behind received a phone call. Apparently it was somewhat unnerving. She broke line and went up to the lady she was speaking to earlier. They held hands and the first lady began praying with her. I was called to the teller.
After I finished my business, I turned to the ladies who had just finished their prayer. Loudly I said, "Merry Christmas everybody and as Tiny Tim would say, 'God Bless us everyone!' " The whole crowd in the bank turned to me and shouted, "Merry Christmas!"
Just like the ladies praying, or me wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, there is no reason for us to be shamed for our faith ... especially during Advent Season. After all, Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
How can there possibly be shame in that?
Merry Christmas and God Bless us everyone!
